Dean Reid and Kaitlin Pickett are currently enjoying balmy low 20 degree temperatures of Fremantle in Perth.
They’re helping out the team at Fremantle Bridges Alliance who are constructing Western Australia’s first ever cable stayed traffic bridge.
They’re in the thick of engineering the intimate reinforcement details that’ll stitch the bridge together, ultimately spanning the majestic Swan River.
She’s a pretty big job and another international notch in the Hoffcon belt, although there is slight concern with the increased use of “strewth” and “crickey” by the duo, which we will continue to monitor.
This is a great video that shows how the structure will be built alongside the original bridge which remains operational throughout.
