Amotai

In 2022, Hoffcon became an Amotai registered business. Amotai are an amazing organisation who work alongside Government, corporate and iwi organisations to unlock procurement opportunities connecting buyers to Māori and Pasifika-owned businesses, to promote supplier diversity and development in Aotearoa.

The Hoffcon team are hosted by Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira on a bus tour of significant sites in the Porirua rohe, including Hongoeka Marae in Plimmerton.

They’re in the business of making supplier diversity the norm and that resonates with us. We are a Pasifika co-owned business with Samoan, Māori, Pākehā, Irish and Bangladeshi staff. Over half our team are female (yeah the girls!) and we range in age from 20-somethings to spritely 40-somethings. So we’re a pretty diverse bunch ourselves.

We’ve been on a journey creating our own meaningful relationships with iwi and Pasifika organisations and our dream is to see more Māori and Pasifika kids pursue fun, exciting and meaningful careers in the construction and engineering fields.
